Nathan Rodriguez (Vice Chair) is a San Francisco-based geologist working at Municon West Coast in geotechnical instrumentation since March 2021. He earned a B.S. in Geology from CSU Fresno in 2020, where he engaged in paleomagnetic and geochemical studies to correlate geographically disparate outcrops of trachyandesites in the Sierras. As an early career professional, he proposes, manages, and executes remote monitoring projects in and around the Bay Area, Sacramento, and Los Angeles in which he sets up automated data collection systems on construction sites to monitor ground response to shoring systems, tunnels, and other work in real time. He deploys a wide variety of instruments, including seismographs, inclinometers, automated motorized total stations, extensometers, and vibrating wire piezometers.
