Justin Lindeman, GIT, (previous chair) works as a computational geoscientist, geologist, GIS specialist, and programmer. He has
a background in geodynamics, engineering seismology and structural geology, which he uses to manage Cal
Engineering & Geology’s UAS and remote sensing services and to perform a variety of computational analyses. His
expertise lies in applying GIS and various scripting languages to geologic mapping, deformation analysis, site
characterization from geophysical methods, statistical analyses, and 3D visualization.
Mr. Lindeman has been an AEG member since 2013. He has previously served as the Vice Chair and Field Trip
Chair for the SF Bay Area chapter and served as the Student Membership chair for the Sacramento Chapter. Mr.
Lindeman is also a past recipient of the 2014 H. Ray Taber AEG Founders Scholarship award (AEG Sacramento).
